Welcome to Bilroya
Diet
Robbie is the reason I feed all my dog BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food).
He spent the first 10 months of his young life with frequent bouts of diarrhoea and ear infections, we spent most of the time at the vets with him and he had endless antibiotics and ear drops. We also tried every diet their was on the market for sensitive tums etc but to no avail. In the end we fed him just boiled rice and fish, not a diet I thought would sustain him through his life! Then a friend and fellow Golden Retriever owner/breeder told me about the raw meaty bones she fed her dogs. I was soon persuaded to try this for Robbie, just by seeing how healthy all her dogs were, even the elderly ones. They were all in great condition and had beautiful white teeth! To cut a long story short Robbie has never looked back and has never suffered with diarrhoea since, and is a fit and healthy 8 year old who loves his grub.
Click on the following link for FAQ's on the BARF diet, it should address any worries that you may have concerning switching to BARF. We are all worried when trying something new and different!
